Sorry this is a few days late everyone, I was camping with my family this week and so I missed my Monday update. I am pleased to say that over the last week I lost 4 pounds! I’ll be honest though I have no idea how this happened. I spend a fair amount of the week sick and so I didn’t work out except for once, I didn’t stick to my diet because I was sick and only wanted comfort foods so I let go of all my discipline and ate what I wanted. I think that the only way I managed to lose weight was that I felt so crappy I only ate very small amounts of everything. This week I feel better so I am back on the diet band-wagon and have resumed my workout routine.
This week also makes one full month of this journey and thus I feel like It is a good time to review what I’ve done and how far I’ve come. When I started this new lifestyle a month ago I set the goal of losing 20 pounds in the first month, I managed to lose 14. I wanted to look thinner and feel healthier, have more energy and stamina all of which have happened. I wanted to stop feeling sorry for myself and just fix the problem and I feel like I am well on my way to accomplishing that goal. Overall I am happy with my results this month.
Next month I am maintaining the goal of losing another 20 pounds. In order to do this I am going to increase my working out to twice a day (one hour in the morning and another hour at night) and I am going to stick to the diet I have been using (the Herbalife diet with a few tweaks) and I am going to make sure that at least half of my workout is cardiovascular and the rest is simple strength building (not the Schwarzenegger type, but lean sexy muscle like bikini models haha.)
